The FM Library

With the full release of FM23 yesterday it is time for us to shout out to several bloggers or sites we think you should check out if you enjoy spending some time in the written world of Football Manager-related content. This should become, at the very least, a semi-regular feature so if you would like to get involved in helping choose who appears on the list make sure to sign up to our Discord and join the fun! So here we go, in no particular order:

• Last year, @MaddFM brought us the excellent Northern Boys series, for those that haven’t read it, you should. This year he plans on bringing us “Sexy Football” with HFC Haarlem who have been brought back from the ashes by Ruud Gullit and see themselves reinstated to the Eerste Divisie. You can check out his website and this series in particular here:

• Next up is @adam_otbfm and the intro to his Seinäjoen Jalkapallokerho series or HJK as they are more commonly known, recommended by one of our Discord regulars @BoxToBox. Adam gives us a brief history lesson on the club, sets out his goals for the save, and touches on some of previous FM-related content.

• Next on the list is @SteinkelssonFM who actually got nominated by two of our members, @LutterworthFox, and @TheFmRambler. He has two posts out recently, the first found here is an introduction to the club he will be managing on FM23 and the 2nd goes into detail on how he will implement Manuel Pellegrini’s Magic Rectangle tactical ideology.

• I don’t think one of these types of posts would be worth sharing if there wasn’t a piece in there from @ViewFromTheTouchline. Cleon recently shared his thoughts on data within FM and where he feels Sports Interactive could make improvements that would benefit players who live for the use of data.

• The previously mentioned @adam_otbfm has put forward @theFM_scout and his first-ever entry into the FM blogging world. Can the 20-year CM/FM veteran install “The Power of The Dolphin”, into Cantolao in Peru, and help them become a powerhouse in South America?

• Next up is the collective site of eight incredible bloggers, four of whom have shared what they will be doing on FM23. @FM_Samo with his Everyone has the Right to Dream series, managing FC Nordsjælland in Denmark, next up is @FM_Athlete and his First Vienna series First Eleven. Alongside those two are @FM_Grasshopper who will be managing AD Ceuta FC in Spain and @FMRensie who will be managing VVV Venlo in the Netherlands, respectively.
